Michael Largo was born and raised in New York City, though moved to Miami, Florida 18 years ago where he lives with his family. He has written three novels, Southern Comfort, Lies Within and Welcome to Miami. His writings appeared in the following e-zines and literary websites: Eclectica, Melic Review, Conspire, 2RiverView, Pif Magazine, Best of Pif (paperback) Exodus, Conflicting Spectrums, Poet's Cut, Bonfire, Duct-Tape Press, Morpo Review, Burn, Pulp Fiction, Mocha Memoirs, Yellow Dog Magazine, Isi Bongo, Big Bridge , Nuketown, Bloody Muse, Forbidden Panda, Trout Magazine, New Earth Review, Manx Fiction, Solas, Wings, StickyKeys, Pauper, Shank, Writer's Choice, Harpweaver, Ashtray Angels, Plaintext, Creativity Magazine, Unlikely Stories, Indite Circle, Pocol Press (Anthology, Unusual Circumstances) and Spark online. In addition to receiving a grant from the New York State Council of the Arts and Whiteside Poetry Award, he has published more than 200 poems, stories and essays.
Michael Largo received a B.A. in English from Brooklyn College and an A.S. in Environmental Science. His varied careers included: English teacher in Harlem, editor of New York Poetry, field guide for a nature conservation center, East Village NYC tavern owner, deckhand on a sea-going tugboat, video producer, and certified builder. He also served on Board of Directors of the Miami Book Fair International.
Michael Largo has been collecting statistics and information on the American way of dying for over a decade. He is a member of The Authors Guild, Mystery Writers of America amd Horror Writers of America.
